Sever on creating the sketch:
This is my last sketch of the first round, and the most anticipated
for me personally. Revok got me into writing over a decade ago and
out of all the times we painted together I realized I had never
fucked with his letters. Sketching his shit flowed almost as smoothly
as if I were doing my own name. As far as the process went I sketched
this roughly in pencil, then inked the outline, shaded the 3-D with
color pencil... The next step was scanning it, tweaking the colors,
adding the bubbles, drop shadow, fade, a few other accents, and
finally my name and The Exchange logo. I think it still needs a
hi-light on the fill and maybe some green somewhere to set it off but
whatever. I'm looking forward to seeing it on the wall!

Yeeeaaaahhhh! - That's nice!, It's great to have one of your favorite

Great job on the outline Sev! We have come a long way with the
quality of the outlines since the beginning of this project. The piece has some difficult whips
and smooth dipping linework, I am curious as to how Revok will handle it! Since
the outline is so clear in terms of placement, style, color and composition, I would really like
to see Revok hold true to the outline. Maybe even doing the Flying sever font
and The Exchange logo. We'll see...
Revok on executing the sketch:
- I ENJOYED PAINTING SEVER'S SKETCH, EVEN IF YOU REALLY APPRECIATE
SOMEBODIES STYLE "AS IN THE CASE WITH SEVER" -YOU CANT COMPLETELY
APPRECIATE ANOTHER WRITERS SHIT UNTIL YOU TRY TO PAINT IT. FOR ME AT
LEAST, SOME OF HIS MOVEMENT AND RHYTHM WAS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE, BUT I
HAD FUN WITH IT...
DOING THIS PIECE WAS A FUCKING HEADACHE, NOT
BECAUSE OF THE SKETCH, BUT BECAUSE OF THE RAILWAY POLICE WHO CHASED US
OUT, THEN DISSED OUR PIECES WITH THE PAINT THE OTHER GUYS LEFT
BEHIND...I THINK RIME ALREADY TOLD YOU THE STORY....
