Totem 2 on creating the sketches:

Aiight!.. I tried to come at the sketch with the idea of doing more
of my battle style lettering for this.. more armored simpler letters and shit..
the Sketch was a little hard to see where to begin in the Black and white.
So i did the second sketch so that you can see where the lights and darks are.
the light source is from the upper right... so keep that in mind.
Also the barrells on the ends that are solid.. they are supposed to
be round, so add a highlight.

I know it was gonna be a spin on things adding 3d to the mix of all
of us, but i know you got the guns to pull it off. the colors are up to you homie...
You dont have to follow that color scheme, it was there just to see where the darks
and lights go.. wild the fuck out the way you do it.

Sever on executing the sketch:

I rocked this in ATL over the course of 3 days... about 3 or 4 hours
a day... like 10-12 hours total including the buff job. By far this
was the most difficult and also most rewarding time I have had
painting in a long while. I actually laid down the bubbles first...
then executed the piece backwards from right to left. Color selection
out there is limited to American paint only... I used that Velspar
shit from Lowe's and worked it out the best I could. As you can tell
I left the hard line graphic feel on most of it... shading only a few
areas. I had a shitty print out that made the colors look way
different in person, then when I examine it now on the monitor. I was
pretty much winging it in that regard. There are a few spacing issues
but overall I was happy with the outcome. Tons of thanks to Totem for
the fresh finished product... I have definitely gained more respect
(if that's possible) for the concentration it takes to pull off your
work.
